Top 10 cult films to watch online for free at Joox
I'm not sure about the legality of Joox, but while it's there, we might as well enjoy it.
Joox is an extended YouTube if you like, but instead of five-minute clips, it features full-length cartoon, documentaries, TV shows and most importantly for us, films. All are user-uploaded, a mix of old and new, as well as a combination of English speaking, world cinema and subtitled movies.
Obviously that means there's a mix of good and bad. But if you're after some recommendations, here's 10 to try first. Check the certificate ratings first if you're concerned about the content.
1. Danger Diabolik (1968)
Much sought-after and good-looking 60s comic book adaptation from Mario Bava, with John Phillip Law as the anti-hero and super criminal Diabolik.
2. Vanishing Point (1971)
Arguably, the greatest road movie ever, as Kowalski attempts to make it to San Francisco with the entire police force on his tale, guided only by blind DH Supersoul.
3. The Rutles (1978)
The finest spoof movie ever? The Beatles ripped apart by Neil Innes and Eric Idle. There's even an appearance by George Harrison.
4. Daleks Invasion Earth: 2150 AD (1966)
Hammer's take on Doctor Who, with Peter Cushing taking on the Doctor's role, saving the Earth from invasion in the future. Doctor Who & The Daleks is also featured.
5. Pink Flamingos (1972)
The battle is on th be the filthiest people alive. John Water's cult classic - and not for the easily offended.
6. Made In Britain (1982)
More gritty realism from Alan Clarke, with Tim Roth as the bored and angry skinhead Trevor.
7. Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii (1972)
Spooky and atmospheric live gig, but without an audience, by the band just before they became huge with Dark Side Of The Moon.
8. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966)
If you have three hours to spare, Sergio Leone's classic spaghetti western is great way to spend it.
9. The Raven (1963)
Roger Corman meets Vincent Price meets Edgar Allen Poe in a battle of good and evil sorcery.
10. Dr Strangelove (1964)
Stanely Kubrick's cold war satire, dominated by the performances of Peter Sellers.

I think the Joox site has temporarily gone down rather than there being a problem with the specific links.
