Win Cadillac Records on DVD!

Cadillac_cine

Just out on DVD and Blu-ray this week, Cadillac Records is the tale of the iconic Chess Records label - and we have five copies of the DVD to give away in our latest competition.

If you missed it at the cinema, Cadillac Records is Hollywood's take on the rise of the Chess label, created just after the Second World War in Chicago by Leonard Chess (Adrien Brody) to promote young black performers, primarily from the South of the US. That means a host of blues and soul icons being taken off by modern-day actors and performers - including Muddy Waters (Jeffrey Wright), Howlin' Wolf (Eamonn Walker), Chuck Berry (Mos Def) and Etta James (Beyoncé Knowles). That title? Well, Chess had a habit of giving his performers a Cadillac to celebrate their first record.

Cadillac Records is available right now, with both the DVD and Blu-ray disc packed full of extras, deleted scenes and background documentaries. But if you want to save some cash, you can enter our competition to win one, hosted over on our Modculture site. Just follow the link to the entry page. Good luck!
