Cult Clip: Threads (1984)

There's nothing quite so scary as reality. And that was definitely the case with Threads. As the cold war raged, this true -to-life TV drama (written by Kes author Barry Hines) showed the impact of World War 3 on real people - people living in Sheffield to be precise.

Anyone who saw it is unlikely to have forgotten it. And if you didn't see it, you can catch it on the big screen at the forthcoming Fantastic Films Weekend in Bradford.

Or if you want a taster, check out this clip, which captures the moments of impact.
