Pink Floyd-soundtracked The Valley (1972) gets a dual-format release by the BFI

Valley

This is a real oddity for a BFI release, but as they reissued Barbet Schroeder's classic More, it's probably not surprising to see La Vallee (aka The Valley) get a release.

It's one of those films that's great to look at, but takes some willpower to get through. It's not short and at times, there's not a lot going on. Anyway, visually stunning, has a Pink Floyd soundtrack (Obscured By Clouds) and stars Bulle Ogier as a woman who goes on an accidental voyage of self-discovery in New Guinea. As you do.

No firm details of extras as yet, but it's on dual-format, which means DVD and Blu-ray on the one disc and its out on 14th February 2011. See below for a strange scene from the movie.
